i've been reading Tarot for nearly two decades and i'm now applying my spooky powers toward fundraising purposes.

the Easter Island Project is an ongoing work inspired by my personal experience and subsequent research into childlessness in our culture. all Tarot proceeds benefit the non-profit arts and literary organization 2GQ -- specifically, computer related expenses -- and The Easter Island Project -- specifically, expenses for related travels to San Francisco, Seattle, and of course, Easter Island, Chile, in the South Pacific. non-financial support is also welcome.

BURNING TAROT SIGN FROM 2003

Hey, Tarotist Training Camp freeeeks! So this is the sign I made in 2003. It's a sandwich board spraypainted silver + wooden sign w/ brick-dark-red background, yellowgold parchmenty paper + "Burning Tarot" printed in Lucida Blackletter. The whole mess is doused in some sort of shiny clear lacquer.

It's pretty small but I liked the yellow & red & black scheme. Seems like it'd be nice, simple, & bold out there in the desert for 2008, with layered connotations of hippie-Tarot-medieval-war-tents and revolutionary-20th-century-red.

So! That's my idea -- to really run w/ those colors and go go go. However, I can totally let go of said idea and just do whatever.

Additional fondness for yellow: my car is bright yellow w/ black trim, and I usually bring a big roll of Caution tape out there, also yellow & black.
